Covid-19 Response
A note from MSO Executive Director, Peggy Pitz
The Coronavirus Pandemic—a time of uncertainty and unknowns. I speak for the MSO when I say I wish we had the answers but we do not. Like you, the MSO listens, researches, and learns from others. We meet to discuss the challenges, share thoughts and ideas, outline options and make decisions we are confident are the right ones.
We initially postponed the April 18th concert, Gershwin in Paris, to June 6th. We have now decided to cancel the concert for three reasons:
- We do not know when the guidelines for gatherings will be lifted.
- Unless the guidelines were lifted by mid-May, there would not be enough practice time for a June performance.
- Even if the guidelines were lifted, would patrons feel comfortable enough to come to the CCC amidst 400 people?
For all purposes, our season is over. With the cancellation of two important fundraisers as well as our last concert, our finances could certainly look better. Yet, we are moving forward. We are planning to perform “Gershwin in Paris” during our 2020-2021 season and provide you with a memorable season of musicality.
We are here to perform for you, our patrons.
The MSO is here to stay!
To fulfill this commitment to the community, we need your support now more than ever. Please read below for ways that you can help the Symphony, including options to consider when requesting your ticket refunds.
During the upcoming months, we will provide updates on the status of the symphony, our 2020-2021 season, and symphony “nice to knows.” Until then, stay safe and remember,
Sometimes music is the only medicine the heart and soul need.
With your help, we will heal!
How you can help when requesting your ticket refund.
You can donate your ticket:
Any donation during these difficult times is greatly appreciated. Tickets and fees paid for Gershwin in Paris can be donated to MSO or the Capitol Civic Centre. Ticket holders should email boxoffice@cccshows.org or call 920-683-2184 and leave a message with your name, phone number and your intention to donate to either MSO or CCC. We can’t thank you enough!
You can request a CCC credit:
Ticket cost and fees can be issued to your Capitol Civic Centre account to be used toward the purchase of tickets to any future performance at the CCC—no expiration date! Ticket holders should email boxoffice@cccshows.org or call 920-683-2184 and leave a message with your name, phone number and your request for an account credit. We’ll see you next season!
Get a refund:
We understand that everyone has been personally affected by COVID-19. If you cannot donate or plan to attend a future performance at this time, tickets and fees (less any online fees paid) for Gershwin will, of course, be fully refunded. The CCC can refund directly to your credit card if the original transaction was within the last 120 days; or they will issue a check and mail it to your address. Ticket holders should email boxoffice@cccshows.org or call 920-683-2184 and leave a message with your name, phone number, and address, and your request for a refund. Stay well!
