Petskull Limited Edition Brew Collaboration

Where Beethoven Meets Beer

Music, snacks, and fun!
$10 per person in advance or at the door
The Manitowoc Symphony Orchestra is delighted to announce a new Beethoven-inspired collaboration with PetSkull Brewing Company—one that brings together great music, great beer, and long-term artistic vision.
Beginning in 2026, the Symphony and Petskull will partner once each year with a special beer to celebrate the orchestra’s nine-year cycle of spring Beethoven concerts.
What’s the connection? Ludwig van Beethoven was famously fond of beer and a regular presence in Viennese taverns, where legend has it he often jotted down musical ideas on scraps of paper and napkins. While historians suggest he enjoyed his pints with moderation (perhaps short of true Wisconsin standards), his appreciation for beer makes this collaboration especially fitting. The inaugural release is a Kölsch-style beer, a nod to a classic European tradition with roots not far from Beethoven’s home—making it easy to imagine the composer himself might have approved.
Admission to the Limited Release Party “Where Beethoven Meets Beer” is $10 at the door or in advance below and proceeds benefit MSO. Snacks and entertainment are included. Guests will have the opportunity to purchase a pint of the newly released brew ($8) as well as 6-packs ($16)!
